The
Panasonic People’s Triathlon Series is Auckland’s largest and longest running triathlon series.  Since 1998 it has grown steadily and now caters to almost 3 thousand athletes each season.  The series consists of four events.  Two of these are held from Maraetai Beach, East of Auckland while the other two are held from central Auckland's, Mission Bay.  Both of these locations are easily accessible and accommodate a large number of participants.

As part of this series, participants have the chance to race a variety of distances in both triathlon and duathlon formats.  All events cater to a wide range of abilities and ages enabling participants to race as competitively or non-competitively as they like.

First Tier Sports productions and Panasonic have partnered together with this event for over 4 years.

New Zealand
has a rich history of cycling, with the first bikes appearing in 1869.  Since then, Kiwi's have embraced cycling as a way of life, whether as a form of transport, sport or simply as a way to support a well balanced lifestyle.  The idea of putting on the SRAM Tour de Ranges came from the need for Auckland to have its own iconic, professionally run cycle event.  Over the years we have been asked by cyclists, cycle clubs and cycle store owners to put on a cycling event, but until now, have not  found the perfect setting and course.

In December 2008 the State Highway 2 Mangatawhiri deviation was opened.  This allowing for cyclists to ride safely on the old Mangatawhiri State Highway 2  road, resulting in the birth of the SRAM Tour de Ranges.  Earlier this year the people at SRAM and First Tier Sports Productions joined forces to turn this idea into reality.

SRAM is the world leader in high performance, light weight road and mountain bike components.  SRAM products are used by some of the best cyclist in the world including Lance Armstrong and Alberto Contador.

The
Botany Town Centre Summer Fun Run & Walk is held each year in the month of February.  Competitors start and finish from the heart of the Botany Town square. The event consists of two race distances, a 5km and 10km run and walk. Both events utilise the same course which circumnavigates the Botany Town Centre and surrounding residential area.  The course is all flat and on tarmac, catering to a wide variety of ages and abilities.

This event was created by Botany Town Centres desire to help support the local community with a healthy, active event.  First Tier Sports Productions is looking to develop the event into one of Auckland’s premier fun run and walk events.
